Robert J. Glass

Robert "Bob" J. Glass (* approx. 1940/41; † July 21, 1993 in Los Feliz , Los Angeles , California ) was an American sound engineer who won the Oscar for best sound once and was nominated five more times has been.

Life

Since 1948 he participated in numerous productions. In 1977 he was nominated for the first Oscar for his work in A New Star in the Sky . More nominations followed before winning an Oscar in 1983 for his work in ET - The Extra-Terrestrial . He was nominated four times for the BAFTA Awards .

Glass was found murdered on July 21, 1993 in his Los Feliz, California apartment.
