Robert M. "Bob" Merrick (born January 18, 1971 in New York City ) is a former American sailor .

Robert Merrick took part in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney in the 470 dinghy . Together with Paul Foerster , he finished second behind Tom King and Mark Turnbull and ahead of Javier Conte and Juan de la Fuente . With a total of 42 points, they received the silver medal, four points behind the victorious Australians.
