Robert Rehlen

Robert Rehlen (born November 10, 1859 in Nördlingen , † April 23, 1941 in Munich ) was a German architect and Munich construction clerk .

Career

Rehlen studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich . From 1878 he was a member of the Corps Ratisbonia .

In 1883 he joined the state construction service and in 1888 switched to the Bavarian capital's local construction commission as a district engineer . He was promoted to building officer and in 1898 to building officer. He took over the management of the municipal building construction department III and was head of the building commission from 1917. During this time he was responsible for a number of public buildings, especially school buildings. In 1921 he retired as a senior building officer .

In addition to his job, Rehlen worked for the German and Austrian Alpine Association (DÖAV) as the manager of hut and path construction. From 1928 to 1934 he was president of the association.
