Robert Reimann (born December 17, 1911 in Wölflinswil , † August 28, 1987 during a hike , entitled to live in Wölflinswil) was a Swiss politician (CVP) .

biography

Robert Reimann was born on December 17, 1911 in Wölflinswil as the son of brickworker Josef Reimann and Anna Maria née Schmid. Reimann initially completed an apprenticeship as a machine draftsman at the BBC in Baden between 1928 and 1932 . As a result, he worked there as head of construction in the high-voltage equipment department. Most recently he was a member of the corporate staff management staff from 1970 to 1976.

Robert Reimann married Maria Rosa, also born Reimann, in 1939. He died on August 28, 1987 at the age of 75 while hiking.

Political career

Robert Reimann, a member of the Christian Democratic People's Party, held his first political office in the years 1933 to 1935 as councilor of Wölflinswil. Immediately afterwards, he was given the part-time function of community clerk, which he held until 1937. Finally, he stood Wölflinswil 1937-1961 as mayor before. He also represented his party in the Aargau Grand Council from 1941 to 1965 , from 1961 to 1962 as President. He also served as President of CVP Aargau from 1961 to 1972. He was also a member of the National Council for the canton from 1955 to 1963 , before he was elected to the Council of States in 1963 , to which he was a member until 1979 and which he chaired from November 28, 1977 to November 27, 1978.

He was also represented in the National Research Council and, among other things, in the Commission for Foreign Trade and Nuclear Science. In addition, he was President of the Swiss Association of Raiffeisen Banks from 1976 to 1984 .

Robert Reimann's commitment was education, technology, research, industry, but also social issues.
