Robert Tari

Robert Tari (born September 7, 1987 in Timișoara ) is a Romanian journalist and writer who publishes his works in German.

Life

Robert Tari graduated from the German special department of the Nikolaus-Lenau-Lyceum in Timișoara and was a member of the school theater group NIL from 2003 to 2006 . From 2006 he first studied acting , then German and English at the West University of Timisoara .

From 2002 he was a member of the German literary circle Stafette and published regularly in the annual anthologies. He was considered one of the great hopes of the head of the circle, Annemarie Podlipny-Hehn . In 2007 Tari took part in the intercultural theater project Tempo! Tempo! of the Literaturhaus Stuttgart and the German Cultural Center Timisoara , for which he wrote the role of Gabriel Schilter .

From 2008 he worked as a freelancer for Radio Timișoara as a journalist, sports reporter and project manager of the youth development project Pausenradio . In that year Tari's first volume of prose with short stories and fragments Nostalgic Medley appeared , and in 2010 he published the play Die Jötunnsleyer . His first novel is in preparation.

Since 2010 Tari has been working on the research project on the “experienced history of the German State Theater Timişoara ” under the leadership of the director of the Institute for Dramatic Art in Timișoara, Eleonora Ringler-Pascu . In 2010 his play “Die Jötunnsleyer” appeared, in 2016 the play “Barentsburg”.

Awards

Robert Tari is a four-time winner of the Austrian literature competition Literature overcomes borders . In 2011 he was awarded the Berwanger Prize by the branch of the Romanian Writers' Association in Timișoara. In 2012 he received the Stefan Jäger Prize and in 2016 one of the four special prizes of the jury of the Timişoara Writers' Association.
