Robert von Fleischhacker

Robert von Fleischhacker (born November 9, 1855 in Graz , † August 31, 1937 ibid) was an Austrian paleontologist, Anglist and mayor of Graz.

Life

Fleischhacker was in 1878 at the University of Graz in paleontology Dr. phil. PhD. He was a student of Peters and Rudolf Hoernes . His dissertation dealt with bivalves ( mussels ). In 1878, together with Vinzenz Hilber , he worked briefly as a volunteer at the Geological Institute in Vienna. He passed the teaching examinations for French and English at the University of Vienna . From November 4, 1912 to June 15, 1914, Fleischhacker was mayor of Graz. In 1922 he completed his habilitation in English at the University of Graz . In 1928 he became a tit. Associate professor appointed for English studies.

Since 1894 he was a member of the Corps Vandalia Graz .
