Roberto Canella Suárez (born February 7, 1988 in Pola de Laviana ) is a Spanish football player . The defender is under contract with first division club Sporting Gijón and plays on loan at Deportivo La Coruña .
Career
society
Canella played for Sporting Gijón in his youth, and was promoted to the first team at the beginning of the 2006/07 season. In the following year, Sporting Gijón succeeded in being promoted to the Primera División after a ten-year absence . He scored his first goal in a 2-0 home win against RCD Mallorca on October 5, 2008.
National team
Canella represented Spain internationally at the U-20 World Cup and then rose to the U-21 .
