Robin Lod (born April 17, 1993 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish football player . He prefers to play in the central midfield, but can also be used in the left or attacking midfield and also on the wing positions if necessary.

Career

society

Lod was accepted into the youth of the Finnish record champions HJK Helsinki in 2006, from 2011 to 2012 he then played for the reserve team Klubi 04 . He made his debut for Helsinki on October 22, 2011 against MYPA. Here he also scored his first goal, Helsinki won the game 4-1.

In 2012 he was loaned to Vaasan PS from August to September and played eleven games here. After his return to Helsinki he was able to establish himself, he won three championships with his club, and after the end of the 2014 season he was named Player of the Year in the Veikkausliiga.

His talent did not remain hidden, so he was signed on May 6, 2015 by the Greek top club Panathinaikos Athens . He made his league debut for his new club on October 3, 2015 against Skoda Xanthi . Lod was also able to prevail in Panathinaikos and became a regular.

National team

He passed through Finland's U-18 and U-21 teams, and in 2014 was voted best midfield player and best U-21 player. Lod has played for the senior national team since 2013 and is one of the big names in his country.
