Roberto Enrique Silva Pro (born June 1, 1976 in Lima ) is a former Peruvian soccer player . In Germany he is best known for his time at Werder Bremen.

Career

In the club

Silva started his career in 1997 at Alianza Lima , where he went on goal hunting with Claudio Pizarro . After his departure to Werder Bremen in 1999, Silva also changed the club and was loaned to Sporting Cristal for a year , who then signed him. He remained loyal to the club until 2001 before he moved to Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga . There, the striker described as a strong header should compensate for the departure of his compatriot and former teammate Claudio Pizarro. But Silva could not prevail in Bremen and only played seven competitive games, in which he was always substituted. He then spent another two years abroad before returning to Alianza Lima in 2004. With Alianza he was able to win the Torneo Apertura and defend it with the Club Sportivo Cienciano next year . He then went to Mexico for a short time, but then came back to Cienciano and from there went back to Alianza Lima. In Lima he was again national champion, but left the club after one season and moved to his current club, Universidad San Martín de Porres . In San Martín he defended the national title twice in a row. In the meantime he went to Ecuador for a season and then returned and became national champion for the third time with Universidad. He left the club in early 2012 and ended his career with the Sport Boys .

In the national team

For the Peruvian national team , Silva was on the pitch eleven times, scoring two goals. He never took part in a soccer world championship or the Copa América with Peru.
