Robin Getrost (* 1980 ) is a German screenwriter .
Life
Robin Getrost first studied Politics and Theater Studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . He then completed the scriptwriting course of the renowned German Film and Television Academy (dffb) in Berlin from 2010 to 2014 .
Getrost is best known for his scripts for children's and youth films, including the fairy tale adaptations Der Froschkönig and Sleeping Beauty , which were broadcast as part of the film series Six in One and Eight in One in the Christmas program of the First German Television .
Confidently made his cinema debut in 2009 with the youth comedy Summertime Blues , a film adaptation of the novel of the same name by British author Julia Clarke . Two years later came the children's book adaptation When Santa Claus fell from the sky in German cinemas. The literary template comes from Cornelia Funke . Like Summertime Blues before, the film received the rating “valuable” from the German film and media rating.
