Lennie Arne Robin Rahm (born September 13, 1986 in Torsby ) is a Swedish ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with GKS Katowice in the Polska Hokej League since 2019 .

Career

Rahm began his career in the various junior teams at Sunne IK, where he occasionally appeared as a backup goalkeeper for the combat team beginning with the 2002/03 season. From 2005 he took over the role of the first goalkeeper there and completed 22 games in his first season. He earned a catch quota of 91.70% and thus appeared in second place in this statistic, even though his team occupied the penultimate place in the table.

In the following season he improved his performance again, but his team missed again a playoff place. In the course of the season he was briefly awarded to Södertälje SK in the Allsvenskan and Frölunda HC in the Elitserien, but only recorded appearances as a back-up goalkeeper. In 2008 he signed a two-year contract with Frölunda and was earmarked for his farm team Borås HC. Due to a groin injury, however, he missed the start of the season and started again at Sunne IK, before he ran into Borås during the season. He also played in the following season for the team, which could not qualify for the playoffs.

In 2009 he signed a contract with the first division club Färjestad BK . Towards the end of the season, when he and first goalkeeper Henrik Karlsson were injured, Rahm was lucky enough to be the first to recover, after which he took over Karlsson's role and kept it through the playoffs.

However, Rahms career was suddenly interrupted only a little later: on August 5, 2010 it was announced that Rahm had tested positive for doping ( anabolic steroids ), whereupon he was banned for two years. Färjestad BK immediately terminated the contract with him.

After his suspension, Rahm initially agreed on a contract with second division club Örebro HK , but never played for the team. Brynäs IF from the first division replaced the contract before the start of the season and took Rahm in its squad. He ran for one and a half seasons for the club before he was signed by the Malmö Redhawks from the Allsvenskan in the middle of the second season . From 2014 he played for AIK Solna from the same league and stayed with the club for two and a half years, showing good performances.

In the 2016/17 season he was loaned to the Danish first division club SønderjyskE Ishockey . This earned him a contract with their league rivals Odense Bulldogs for the following season , with whom, however, he missed the playoffs. At the end of the season he returned to Sweden and played nine games for the second division Leksands IF .

In spring 2018, the Graz 99ers from the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga signed him. However, he missed the start of the season due to an injury and was temporarily represented by Linus Lundin . He made his league debut on October 30, 2018; he scored a shutout in the first two games .
