Robert Richter (born June 22, 1964 in Straubing ), known as Robsie Richter , is a German author, poet, publisher and musician from Hanau . He is considered to be one of the pioneers, founders and key players in the social beat movement.

Career

literature

The poem Kriegslied , composed around 1981, was Richter's first text to be published in book form when it appeared in 1984 in the self-published anthology The rest time is expired by Ulrike Seib, Martin Engelhardt and Rainer Rupröder .

Richter's first own work ... but the beer still tastes just like it did before! was published in 1986 by Hanauer Laue Verlag.

In 1992 the anthology Downtown Germany was published by Isabell Rox Verlag , Essen, which also contained texts by Richter. Downtown Germany is seen as the birth of the social beat. From 1987 to 1996 Richter published the literature fanzine Kopfzerschlaterntern - Fanzine for hardcore poetry and metal music , which was trend-setting for many other social beat and literature fanzines. For example, Daniel Beskos, the founder and operator of mairisch Verlag , names Richter as a decisive influence.

Also in 1992 Richter founded his publishing house Robert Richter / Kopfzerschmeltern Medien , in which he publishes authors such as Hadayatullah Hübsch , Malte S. Sembten and Grobilyn Marlowe .

Since 2012 Richter has been running the literary blog What the world needs to know , on which he publishes his texts and poems.

music

In the early 1990s he played guitar in the Ramones tribute band The Acid Eaters .

In 1996 he founded the garage and surf band Los Wrestling Mariachis, where u. a. and Reverend Schulzz starred . After Schulzz left the band, the band was renamed The Pirates of Venus . In the course of its more than 20 years of existence, the band has played several hundred concerts throughout Germany.

For several years Richter has been performing solo as a "punk singer-songwriter" under the pseudonym Roky Lugosi . When performing, he is regularly accompanied by Volker Amik on the cajón .

Richter has also been the head of the horror punk band Jonny Hates Rock since 2008 . The band itself calls their style No-Core-Acid-Punk . On November 10, 2017, Jonny Hates Rock released their debut album Canciones Serias para Noches Tristes on the Hanau independent label Interaural Audio . The cover and booklet of the CD were designed by the Hanau comic artist Rautie .

Richter has been co-organizer of the Hanau Song Slams since 2013.
