Rock N Roll Jesus is the seventh studio album by the American musician Kid Rock . It was released on October 9, 2007 and is the follow-up to Kid Rock, which was released in 2003.
The album brought Kid Rock the international breakthrough. In particular, the hit single All Summer Long was able to reach top positions in the international charts.
useful information
The tracks Amen , All Summer Long and Sugar use melodies from other tracks: Amen uses the intro from Bob Seger's You'll Accompany Me . The Fisk Jubilee Singers , a gospel choir, also sing in this song . In Sugar is I'm Bad by LL Cool J played. All Summer Long is a mix of Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd and Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon .
Rock N Roll Jesus is musically to be settled in the rock area, but has influences from heavy metal ( So Hott ) and jazz ( New Orleans ). In contrast to its predecessors, there are hardly any rap or hip-hop influences here. The album received two Grammy nominations - Best Rock Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance ( All Summer Long ) - in 2009 , but won none.

Reviews
laut.de certifies that the album has developed from a primitive macho to a musical, primitive macho. As a result, "Rock N Roll Jesus" is quite tolerable . Pooltrax.com gives the album a positive conclusion: Kid Rock mixes the blues with the rock, spices it up a bit with country, sounds here and there like Aerosmith and yet in no way repeats itself from song to song. "Rock N Roll Jesus" is a solid piece of rock and roll . Allmusic.com awarded 2.5 stars out of 5.
