Rodolfo Cota Robles (born August 3, 1987 in Mazatlán , Sinaloa ) is a Mexican football player on the position of goalkeeper .

career

Since the beginning of his professional career , Cota has been under contract with CF Pachuca , where he played five appearances in the Apertura 2007 of the top Mexican league , but otherwise mostly had to sit on the bench or was only used for its lower-class farm teams . So he played between 2008 and 2010 for the Universidad del Fútbol , with which he was able to celebrate the championship of the third-class Segunda División three times .

Since the end of 2010, Cota has been a permanent member of the first division team of CF Pachuca and was even the goalkeeper of the Tuzos for the year and a half from early 2012 to mid-2013.

For the 2014/15 season he was at the Puebla FC on loan, with which he gave the cup competition of the Clausura won, 2015. On the way to this success, however, he was only used once (in a group game that was lost 3-0 to Monarcas Morelia ). In his next half-season he reached the final of Apertura 2015 against Club León with his new club CD Guadalajara (which had previously lost to Puebla FC in the final) , in which Cota was between the posts this time and thus a significant contribution to the 1-0 -Had success of his team.

At the U-20 World Cup in Canada in 2007 , Cota was part of the World Cup squad of the Mexican U-20 national team and played the group game against New Zealand (2-1) on July 8, 2007.
