Rodrigo de la Rosa Marte (* 8. March 1997 ) is a Dominican boxer in the flyweight .
Career
His first major success on an international level was winning the silver medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla in 2018 , when he was only defeated in the final against the Colombian Ceiber Ávila .
In the 2019 Pan American Games qualification in Managua , he defeated Justin Parina from Canada, Miguel Capilla from Mexico and Yankiel Rivera from Puerto Rico, which qualified him for the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima . There he beat the Chilean Héctor Tapia in the quarter-finals, the Argentine Ramón Quiroga in the semi-finals and the reigning world champion Yosvany Veitía from Cuba in the final . He became the first Dominican Pan America game winner in boxing since Juan Ubaldo , who had won gold in the middleweight division at the 2003 Games. He was thus qualified for the 2019 World Championships in Yekaterinburg , where he was eliminated against the Uzbek Olympic champion Shahobiddin Zoirov .
