Then he started in the British Formula Ford in 1997 and finished ninth overall. Then Sperafico returned to South America for two years and competed in the South American Formula 3 championship . After seventh place in the first year, he finished third overall with two wins in the second season. In 2000 the Brazilian moved back to Europe for the Italian Formula 3000. While his twin brother won the championship title, he finished fourth in the overall standings.

Like his brother, he moved in 2001 to the F3000 . He started as a team-mate of Fabrizio Gollin for Coloni F3000 . He did not manage to score points and he was replaced by Marc Goossens after nine races . In 2002 the Brazilian found another cockpit in the Formula 3000 and he started for the Durango team. Sperafico won the first race in Interlagos straight away and came second in the second race. In the further course of the season he only managed to score points in one further race in third place. In the overall standings, he finished sixth overall behind his brother. He also started in 2002 with less success in eight races of the World Series by Nissan .

After he had not started in any race in 2003, he returned to the World Series by Nissan in 2004. He started in four races in which he remained without points. He then moved to Stock Car Brasil , where he has been active since 2004. He achieved his best placement in 2007 when he won the runner-up title.
