Roger Gimbel
Roger Gimbel (born March 11, 1925 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , † April 26, 2011 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American television producer and Emmy Award winner.
Many of Gimbel's productions deal with topics such as domestic violence , mental illness and other social conflicts.
In total, Gimbel was responsible for more than 500 productions, 18 of which were awarded an Emmy . His works include u. a. A War of Children ( 1973 Emmy Prize winner together with George Schaefer ), The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman , Queen of the Stardust Ballroom , Cowboy with 300 hp and SOS Titanic . He produced programs and a. with Bing Crosby , Sophia Loren and Dean Martin .
Roger Gimbel studied at the Yale University economics . During World War II he served in the United States Army Air Forces in Italy .
Gimbel died on April 26, 2011 of pneumonia . He leaves behind his wife, actress Jennifer Warren , with whom he has been married since 1976, and four children.
