Jennifer Warren (born August 12, 1941 in New York City , New York ) is an American actress and director . In the 1989 with the Oscar winning documentary - short film You Do not Have to Die , she was co- producer . She became known in the 1970s for her leading roles in the films Schlappschlag and Die HOT Spur .

life and work

Warren was in New York's Village Greenwich , the daughter of dentist born Barnett Warren and actress Paula Bauer Smith.

She took acting classes at HB Studio in Greenwich Village and pursued a career as a stage actress on Broadway and in prestigious regional theaters. In 1973 she received the Theater World Award for her role in 6 Rms Riv Vu .

Warren has starred in over twenty feature films and television films, including Slap Shot , The Hot Trail , Fatal Beauty, and Another Man, Another Woman . She also appeared in several television series in guest and supporting roles.

As part of a Directing Workshop for Women at the American Film Institute , the short film Point of Departure was made , which Warren produced and directed. The film was awarded a CINE Golden Eagle in 1982.

Today Warren is a Senior Lecturer at the USC School for Cinematic Arts .

She was married to Fritz DeBoer from 1964 to 1969. From her second marriage in 1976 to television producer Roger Gimbel , who died in 2011 , Warren has a son named Barnett.
