Roger Lloyd Pack

Roger Lloyd-Pack (born February 8, 1944 in London , † January 15, 2014 there ) was a British actor .

Life

Lloyd-Pack was born in London to Ulrike (née Pulay) and Charles Lloyd Pack . His mother worked as a travel agent, his father was an actor. He successfully completed his school years with three A-Levels in English , French and Latin . He then attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art , where he completed his training as an actor.

He was best known on British television as Colin "Trigger" Ball from the sitcom Only Fools and Horses . He achieved international fame through the role as Barty Crouch senior in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire from 2005. In the same year he was also seen in the series Doc Martin , in which he played a scheming farmer, and in 2006 in the cult series Doctor Who .

Lloyd Pack was married twice. His daughter Emily Lloyd is also active in the acting business. He was also the father of three sons and most recently lived in north-west London. He was also an avowed fan of Lindy Hop and the Tottenham Hotspur football club .

Lloyd-Pack died of pancreatic cancer in his London home .
