Teska studied at Indiana University in Bloomington . He lives in Marina del Rey .

Poker career

Teska started playing poker during his freshman year at university. He earned more than 200,000 US dollars with tournament poker on the online poker platforms PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker under the nickname term_ . Teska has been taking part in renowned live tournaments since 2006 .

Teska won his first live cash prize at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event in early January 2006 in the Bahamas , where he finished 29th, worth $ 16,900. In June 2007 he was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and came in the money in a tournament of the No Limit Hold'em variant . In mid-July 2009, Teska won the Bellagio Cup at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas and secured a prize of over 25,000 US dollars. In May 2011, he reached the final table at the same place at the Main Event of the World Poker Tour (WPT) and finished the tournament in fourth for around 370,000 US dollars. At the end of January 2018, Teska finished sixth in the A $ 25,000 Challenge of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Melbourne , which was paid for with more than 120,000 Australian dollars . In November 2018 he won the Millions World of the partypoker Caribbean Poker Party in the Bahamas. For this, Teska prevailed against 393 other players and received a prize of 2 million US dollars. At the end of July 2019, he also won the WPT Main Event in Los Angeles and secured the main prize of just under 370,000 US dollars.

In total, Teska has earned just under 3.5 million US dollars from poker in live tournaments.
