Final table
The final table was played from July 20-22, 2017. For Ben Lamb (as early as 2011 ) and Antoine Saout (as early as 2009 ) it was the second final table at the WSOP main event. With Bryan Piccioli one sat bracelet winner at the table. The final table was set for three days: the first day was to be played down to six, on the second day to three players.
On day one, Lamb was eliminated with A ♥ 9 ♥ against Sinclair's A ♣ Q ♥ . After Hesp had briefly taken over the chip lead, double Blumstein with A ♦ A ♠ against Hesps A ♥ 10 ♥ on the board A ♣ 7 ♦ 5 ♥ 10 ♠ 3 ♣ around half of all the chips in play are and had from then on. A little later Sinclair left the table after running A ♠ A ♦ with K ♠ J ♠ in Picciolis . After five and a half hours, the first day was over and the seven remaining players had a payout of $ 1.425 million guaranteed.
On the second day of the final, Salas was eliminated after getting it with A ♣ 10 ♥ on the flop A ♥ 3 ♥ 2 ♦ against Otts 4 ♦ 4 ♠, who made a straight with the 5 ♠ on the river. Later, Ott also took Piccioli out of the tournament with K ♠ K ♣ , who had pushed A ♣ 7 ♥ in the Battle of the Blinds . Then Saout and Blumstein were involved in a hand: Blumstein put Saout on the River All-In, the Frenchman made the call after careful consideration with K ♣ J ♦ on J ♣ 7 ♦ 6 ♣ 4 ♣ J ♥ and Blum stone was 5 ♠ 3 ♠ inferior . The day ended with the departure of Hesp, who ran 9 ♣ 7 ♣ in A ♦ J ♠ from Pollak and received no help from the board. This left only Pollak, Ott and Blumstein, with the latter already owning over 60 percent of all chips in the game.
On the last day, Pollak was the first to leave the table: he had put all-in on the button Q ♣ 10 ♦ and, after a re-push from Ott with K ♣ 9 ♦ , received the call from Blumstein's A ♥ Q ♠ . Blumstein was the chip leader at the time and would have been world champion if he had won. The board came K ♦ J ♠ 3 ♦ 4 ♣ 6 ♠ , so that Ott more than doubled his stack, but still went into the decisive heads-up with only around 35 percent of the chips . There Blumstein secured the title and won the final hand with A ♥ 2 ♦ against Otts A ♦ 8 ♦ after hitting a 3-outer on the river.
