The Main Event of the World Series of Poker 2020 is set to be the main tournament of the 51st edition of the Poker World Championship in Las Vegas . It was originally intended to be played from July 1, 2020, but has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

In April 2020, the World Series of Poker and with it the Main Event was postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic . Registration for the main tournament in the No Limit Hold'em variant is scheduled for three days. The entire tournament is to be played in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas . The buy-in is 10,000 US dollars .
