The main tournament of the World Series of Poker in No Limit Hold'em started on May 21st and ended with the final table on May 23rd, 1986. The tournament was held at Binion's Horseshoe in Las Vegas . The total of 141 participants had to pay a buy-in of 10,000 US dollars each, and there were 36 paid places for them. With Wendeen Eolis , a woman reached the jury for the first time.
