The Main Event of the 1992 World Series of Poker was the main event of the 23rd staging of the Poker World Championship in Las Vegas .

Tournament structure

The main tournament of the World Series of Poker in No Limit Hold'em started on May 11th and ended with the final table on May 16, 1992. The tournament was held at Binion's Horseshoe in Las Vegas . The total of 201 participants had to pay a buy-in of US $ 10,000 each, and there were 36 paid places for them. Telly Savalas , world-famous as an actor , came in 21st.
