The Rohrach is a left tributary of the Eyb in Geislingen in the district of Göppingen , Baden-Württemberg . Your valley is one of the five namesake of the "fifth valley town" Geislingen. The Geislinger Steige railway line runs along the eastern slope of the valley , below the B 10 trail .

The bottom of the Rohrachtal valley is characterized by Jura slope debris and numerous limestone deposits .

In the past twelve mills used the hydropower of the approximately six kilometers long Rohrach to grind grain and generate electricity. In the 8th century, the former mill town of Rorgensteig, which is still remembered by a street name in Geislingen, was established.

From the source of the Rohrach to the waterfall, the Rohrachtal has been a nature reserve since 1982. The 13 hectare protected area is a nationally significant wetland with a particularly high ornithological importance. Since September 2009, a two-kilometer-long, handicapped accessible nature trail has been leading through the Rohrachtal.

The Rohrach is partially overturned in the Geislingen urban area before it flows into the Eyb below the municipal sports field. The natural course of the river was changed in the Middle Ages. It was led along the western section of the city wall for better defense.
