Roland Nungesser

Roland Nungesser (born October 9, 1925 in Nogent-sur-Marne , Val-de-Marne department ; † March 30, 2011 in Saint-Mandé , Val-de-Marne department) was a French politician of the Rassemblement du peuple français (RPF ), the Union pour la Nouvelle République (UNR), Union pour la défense de la République (UDR) and most recently the Rassemblement pour la République (RPR).

Life

Nungesser, a nephew of its operations in the First World War, the famous fighter pilot Charles Nungesser , studied after school law at the University of Paris and graduated after completing these studies with a licentiate a postgraduate course at Sciences Po , known as "Sciences Po ”, which he graduated with a diploma .

He was a supporter of Charles de Gaulle's policy of Gaullism and was already a member of the Rassemblement du peuple français (RPF). In 1958 he was elected as a candidate for the UNR for the first time as a member of the National Assembly, where he represented the interests of the Val-de-Marne département until 1997. At the same time, he became mayor of Nogent-sur-Marne for the first time in 1959 and held this post until 1995 .

In January 1966 he became State Secretary for Housing in the government of Prime Minister Georges Pompidou and held this post until April 1967. After he was State Secretary for International Affairs in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance from April 1967 to May 1968, he was from May 30 to July 10, 1968 Minister for Youth and Sport in the Pompidou Cabinet for a short time. As such, he campaigned for the first law on sports equipment and, on the other hand, promoted a law on nature conservation . He was then Vice President of the National Assembly for the first time from 1969 to 1974.

After the political right received a majority in the General Council of the Département Val-de-Marne for the first and only time , he became President of the General Council and held this position until 1976. Then between 1977 and 1978 he was again Vice-President of the National Assembly.

For his political services he was appointed Commandeur de la Légion d'Honneur in April 2007 .
