Rolf-Christel Guié-Mien (born October 28, 1977 in Brazzaville ) is a former Congolese football player who was exclusively active for various teams in Germany during his career .
Career as a player
society
Rolf-Christel Guié-Mien began his career as a youth at the capital and first division club AS Inter Brazzaville . At the age of 19 he then moved to Germany for the 1997/98 season for Bundesliga club Karlsruher SC . After about half of the season, Guié-Mien was able to fight for a regular place thanks to his playing strengths in attacking midfield and attacking the team, but he could not prevent the team from relegating to the 2nd Bundesliga .
In the 1998/99 season he confirmed his good debut and completed a full season as a regular player. The team narrowly missed promotion to the Bundesliga.
Guié-Mien received an offer from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt and accepted it before the start of the 1999/2000 season . There, too, he quickly made the leap into the regular formation. However, after relegation in the first year, he had to accompany his club again in the second division in the following season.
Frankfurt could not achieve direct re- promotion in the 2001/02 season and Guié-Mien moved in the following season after a very good first half series with his best goal rate to date in the winter break to competitor SC Freiburg . Both teams achieved promotion.
His time in Freiburg until the end of the 2003/04 season was disappointing. During this time he only made 25 appearances, including often substitutions with just a few minutes of playing time.
He then moved to the relegated Bundesliga 1. FC Cologne . There he could not play permanently in the starting eleven, only had the status of a supplementary player and was sometimes used in the amateur team in the Regionalliga Nord . His continued playing strength was countered by the great weakness of the goal scoring since moving to Freiburg. By the end of the 2004/05 season, he did not succeed in 50 consecutive championship games.
His contract with 1. FC Köln ran until the end of the 2005/06 season . However, after the coaching change to Hanspeter Latour, the club sought an early separation and gave him the clearance for a free transfer after the training camp during the winter break. On September 21, 2006 Guié-Mien signed with the upper division club FC Sachsen Leipzig , where he played for one season. In the 2007/08 season he was under contract with Rot-Weiss Essen in the regional league .
For the 2008/09 season, Guié-Mien moved to the second division relegated SC Paderborn 07 . On May 17, 2010, he extended a contract there for one year with an option for another year. After his contract expired on June 30, 2012, he was without a club.
From the second half of the 2013/14 season, Guié-Mien ran for SSV Merten in the fifth-class Middle Rhine League . With the club, he was relegated to the state league in 2014. In 2017, the club was promoted to the Middle Rhine League again, Guié-Mien had contributed with 22 goals this season. In summer 2018 he ended his playing career after playing 119 league games for SSV Merten and scoring 66 goals.
National team
Guié-Mien was a Congolese national player until 2008 . During this time he played 27 games without scoring a goal. He also has German citizenship .
Career as a coach
After the end of his active career, Guié-Mien was assistant coach at SSV Merten in the 2018/19 season .
