Rolf-Dieter Klooss

Rolf-Dieter Klooss (born July 8, 1945 in Flensburg ) is a German lawyer , politician of the SPD and former member of the Hamburg parliament .

Life

After attending school in Wilhelmshaven , Klooss completed his law studies in Münster , Tübingen and Hamburg . He passed his state examination in 1969 and 1973 in Hamburg . Since then he has been working as an independent lawyer .

He is married and has two children.

politics

Klooss has been a member of the SPD since 1968. The first office at the municipal level was the chairmanship of the SPD district of St. Georg from 1973 to 1984. From 1974 to 1987 he was a member of the Hamburg-Mitte district assembly . This was followed by the post of deputy in the judicial authority from 1991 to 1997. From 1998 to 2006 he was chairman of the SPD district of Wandsbek , his successor being Jan Balcke .

From 1997 to 2011 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . There he sat for his group in the Committee on Europe, Legal Affairs and the Constitutional Committee. He was also a member of the data protection committee .

He was a specialist in justice and law.

Klooss has successfully campaigned for the recognition of Plattdüütsch as a regional language in the European Union and for the introduction of Plattdüütsch as a subject at Hamburg schools. He was also involved in founding the 'Plattolio eV' association. Rolf-Dieter Klooss is also chairman of the Hans Albers Freundeskreis Hamburg eV
