Rolf Malcolm Fongué (born November 25, 1987 ) is a Swiss athlete specializing in the sprint .

Fongué started athletics when he was nine. In 2006, together with Reto Amaru Schenkel, he was accepted into the World Class Potentials project of the Swiss Athletics Association . His time of 10.47 seconds over 100 meters put him in tenth place on the European junior best list in 2006.

The following years he was thrown back by injuries before he could qualify for the World Indoor Championships in Doha in 2010 at the Swiss Indoor Championships in the 60-meter run . There he retired due to a false start in the preliminary run. In July of the same year he was able to celebrate his first active title in the 100-meter run . At the European Championships in Helsinki in 2012 , he reached the semifinals.

Fongué starts for LC Zurich , his trainer is Dieter Baumgartner. In the winter of 2007/2008 he joined a training group in Jamaica around Glenn Mills, coach of world record holder Usain Bolt .

Fongué is the son of a Cameroonian and a Swiss woman. Since completing his apprenticeship as a sporting goods seller, Fongué has concentrated fully on sport, while also working as a fitness instructor. He lives in Dietikon . His brother is the basketball player Eric Fongué .
