Rolf Jahncke

Rolf Jahncke (born January 22, 1923 in Hamburg ; † June 10, 2010 there ) was a German actor, director and author.

Life

Jahncke graduated from high school in 1941 and was a lieutenant in the Air Force at the end of the war . After the war he took acting lessons and in 1946 got his first engagement at the city theater in Villingen . Further stations were the State Theaters in Stuttgart and Kassel . Since 1964 he has played in almost all major theaters in Hamburg. In total, he interpreted over 100 roles in television games and films. He himself directed many productions and was the author of the books Gran Canaria, more than sun, beach and water , Simply laughable , speaking technique and rhetoric and do you know me? - autobiographical theater book . Jahncke also took on many speaking roles in radio play productions. As a voice actor, he lent his voice to numerous colleagues in more than 20 episodes of the western series Bonanza . On June 12, 1987, he received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.

Rolf Jahncke was a long-time member of the board of directors in the professional group film television (BFF) and honorary member of the successor organization Federal Association of Film and TV Actors BFFS. At the age of 87, Rolf Jahncke died after a short, serious illness in his home town of Hamburg.
