Rolf Saxon

Rolf Saxon (born July 7, 1955 in Alexandria , Virginia ) is an American actor .

Life

Rolf Saxon was born as the son of a member of the US Army in Fort Belvoir. His family later moved to California , where they settled in the San Francisco Bay Area . Saxon joined the American Conservatory Theater there. He later moved to London where he was accepted into the Guildhall School of Music and Drama . After graduating in acting, he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company for a year . He is known to German-speaking audiences primarily for his first film appearance in 1980; at the side of Ricky Schroder and Alec Guinness , he played Dick , the shoeshine boy in The Little Lord , who exposes the legacy sneak Minna Tipton . His feature film roles include The Curse of the Pink Panther , 1984 , James Bond 007 - Tomorrow Never Dies and Saving Private Ryan , although he always played only minor supporting roles. On British television he starred in the television series Pulaski and Capital City . He had guest roles in The Three Legged Rulers , Agatha Christie's Poirot and Space Cops - Tatort Demeter City . He also appeared occasionally in theater roles, including in 2002 with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Winter's Tale and Pericles, Prince of Tire . In the five-part adventure computer game series Baphomets Fluch , he played the role of lead actor George Stobbart between 1996 and 2013 .
