Rollefbach near Aachen-Brand

The Rollefbach is a natural flowing water that meanders to the Inde south of Aachen-Brand .

description

The Rollefbach is the confluence of the Holzbach, whose headwaters lie in the area of the Lichtenbusch motorway service station , with the Oberforstbacher Bach, which rises in the valley between Oberforstbach and Schleckheim . It flows into the Inde coming from Kornelimünster at the level of the Indeweg on the southern outskirts of Brand .

The Rollefbach is close to nature, but burdened by the surrounding agriculture. The valley of the same name is spanned by the Rollefbachtal viaduct of the Vennbahn between Brand and Kornelimünster . The stone bridge structure (viaduct) from 1885 is a listed building . After the railway was closed, the Vennbahnradweg now leads over it.
