Jean Porter, a young woman of Indian ancestry, wants to take part in the Roller Derby , a competition on roller skates. She completes the hard training and becomes a member of a professional team. The experienced Midge Brasuhn shows her how tough the sport can be. Jean persists through determination and stamina.
