Until 2002, the defender was regularly used for HC Energie in the top Czech league, but also played for various teams from the second-class first division and the third-class second division. After he had started the 2002/03 season in Karlovy Vary, he moved after only five games to the second division promoted HC Mladá Boleslav , for whom he scored three goals in 34 games and gave two assists by the end of the season. In the following two years, the left shooter remained in the first division, in which he was under contract with HC Olomouc and KLH Chomutov . Only during the 2003/04 season he played two more games in the Extraliga for HC Znojemští Orli .

In summer 2005 Prošek moved to Lillehammer IK from the Norwegian GET league . There he spent the following year and a half before he finished the 2006/07 season at HC VČE Hradec Králové in the first division. The following season he began with their league rivals HC Most , before the Czech was signed by his ex-club HC Energie Karlovy Vary, with whom he was Czech champion for the first time in the 2008/09 season . He and his team were able to return the favor at HC Slavia Prague , to which he was defeated in the playoff final with HC Energie last year.
