Roman Ritter (born April 2, 1943 in Stuttgart ) is a German writer .

Life

Roman Ritter - son of a detective - studied law , history and German at the universities of Tübingen , Hamburg and Munich . From 1971 to 1976 Ritter - together with Jürgen-Peter Stössel, Klaus Konjetzky , Dagmar Ploetz and Uwe Timm - was one of the editors of the literary booklet . From 1975 to 1978 he worked as a member of the editorial team for the literary magazine Kürbiskern and from 1977 to 1982 as an editor at the Munich publishing house Authors Edition . Afterwards he worked as a freelance editor and writer. Ritter lives in Munich today .

Roman Ritter is the author of short stories , essays and poems . His texts are shaped by the author's decidedly left-wing attitude.

Roman Ritter is a member of the Association of German Writers . In 1987 he received a scholarship from the Stuttgart Writers' House .
