Novels Holderried Kaesdorf

Romane Holderried Kaesdorf (born May 11, 1922 in Biberach an der Riss ; † May 23, 2007 there ) was a German draftsman, painter and illustrator.

Her work identifies her as a socially committed caricaturist and shows elements of Art brut as well as a visual relationship to George Grosz and James Ensor . She lived in her native town of Biberach an der Riss. Some of her works are exhibited there in the Braith Mali Museum .

Awards

In 1991 she received the Hans Thoma Prize and in 1989, together with her husband Julius Kaesdorf, the Upper Swabian Art Prize. In 1997 she received the Art Prize of the State of Vorarlberg and in 2006 the VR Bank Aalen Art Prize for her life's work.
