Ron Carey (actor)
Ron Carey , actually Ronald Joseph Cicenia , (born December 11, 1935 in Newark , New Jersey , † January 16, 2007 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .
Life
Carey received his bachelor's degree in communications from Seton Hall University in South Orange in 1956. Moved to New York City , where he worked for many years as a stand-up comedy comedian; In 1966, he gained greater attention through an appearance on the Merv Griffin Show, which was also reflected in a number of role offers. He played the officer Carl Levitt in the TV series Barney Miller , for which he took his stage name, and in films by Mel Brooks . He later worked with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer .
Carey appeared again and again in television shows like those of Ed Sullivan , Jackie Gleason or Johnny Carson .
Carey was married to Sharon from 1967 until his death at the age of 71 from a stroke.
