action

The Wild West at the end of the 19th century. Travis and Moses are two completely different brothers. They've been avoiding each other for a decade as every business they've raised together has failed. Travis is still untied and makes his way as a bon vivant and gambler, while Moses has now had ten children and feeds his clan as a bounty hunter .

Her mother's way of life is a thorn in her side. Around Christmas time she decides to invite them over to her home. She hopes to bring Travis and Moses back on the path of virtue - but also that the two stubborn heads will finally get along. By claiming that the deceased father left his sons a treasure, she believes that she can lure them both to the home stove.

Travis then seeks out Moses, who wants to stay away from his parents' house and also has nothing more to do with his brother. Travis uses a ruse to get him to hunt down gangster Stone , who is offered a $ 4,000 reward  . While the two are working together, Travis tries unsuccessfully to persuade Moses to visit his mother. Moses' family also goes to see his mother without his knowledge.

Due to various mishaps, the two brothers fail to arrest Stone. Instead, they are put in jail themselves, but freed by the young women Bridget and Melly, who are pressured by Stone and his people. When the two brothers finally captured Stone, Travis helps him escape.

Finally, Stone learns of the alleged treasure. Moses and Travis follow him to their mother's house. There they find out that the gangster has already been overpowered. They celebrate Christmas together. When Stone's gang shows up, the party ends in a brawl.

criticism

“The attempt to revive the genre of the slapstick that was founded with the main actors Hill and Spencer; he fails because of his sluggish, unimaginative script and his homely pictures. "
