Two cannot be stopped (original title: Pari e dispari) is an Italian comedy film from 1978 with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer in the leading roles.
action
In the south of Florida , the Mafia controls a number of casinos with the help of corrupt politicians . Sailors and officers of the US Navy are regularly ripped off when they gamble there . The Navy will no longer tolerate this goings-on.
Since Admiral O'Connor cannot officially do anything against the gangsters, he instructs Lt. Johnny Firpo from Naval Intelligence to dig the casino mafia. He is therefore supposed to track down the head of the bookmaking gang and casino owner named Carabulis and arrest them. Firpo was chosen because he is above average intelligent, clever, familiar with all kinds of self-defense and has a photographic memory . But there is a catch: Johnny has no idea about gambling. That's why his half-brother Charlie comes into play. Charlie, a former professional player, once worked for Carabulis. However, Charlie is not interested in the assignment because he has vowed never to play again. Instead, he prefers to earn his living honestly as a trucker .
Thanks to a trick, Charlie accepts the job: He believes he has to earn money for the operation of the “blind” father of the Firpo brothers. The money thrown away will also be used to help an orphanage. So Johnny is initiated into the secrets of gambling by Charlie. Finally, Johnny takes the opportunity to play against Carabulis in poker. The game takes place on Carabulis' casino yacht. While Johnny is now taking part in gambling and cashing in continuously, Charlie accidentally uncovered the hoax with his father. With his help he rushes to the casino yacht to settle accounts with Johnny. After the big brawl, Charlie uses a trick to give the entire winnings (around one million dollars) to the orphanage, which is about to close.
