Boots Southerland (actually Marlin Southerland ) is an American actor and stunt performer .

Life

Southerland began his career in 1988 as a horse handler for the Western Young Guns - you fear neither death nor the devil . In the sequel Blaze of Glory, which was made two years later, he was also seen as a stuntman and in an extra role . His skill with horses and his appearance ensured in the following years for numerous film roles, he was therefore but also often on the role of the Cowboys set .

In 1991 he worked in Lucky Luke for the first time with Terence Hill . In 1994 he was seen in a bigger role in the last Bud Spencer / Terence Hill film together, the western The Troublemaker . Other westerns with his involvement include Lawrence Kasdan's Wyatt Earp - The Life of a Legend starring Kevin Costner , Walter Hills Wild Bill , Richard Linklaters The Newton Boys , and the Natalie Portman- produced action western Jane Got a Gun . Southerland was occasionally active outside of the western genre, including in the action film Getaway , the science fiction films The One and Terminator: The Redemption and in the multi- Oscar- winning literary adaptation No Country for Old Men

In addition to his film roles, Southerland also worked for television. He played guest roles in the series Walker, Texas Ranger and The Magnificent Seven, among others . In 2009 he saw two television films with Terence Hill.
