Ronnie Bremer
Ronnie Bremer (born October 14, 1978 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish racing driver . He started in the Champ Car World Series in 2005 .
Career
Bremer began his motorsport career in 1989 in kart racing , in which he was active until 2001. He was the Danish Formula A champion three times (1998, 1999 and 2001) . Having already in 2000 in the winter series of the British Formula Ford experience in Formula racing had made, he went in 2001 in the British Formula Ford at the start. He won a race and finished the season in ninth place in the championship. He finished seventh in the European Formula Ford. In addition, he made his first experiences in touring car racing in the Danish Touringcar Championship (DTC) .
In 2002 Bremer moved to Manor Motorsport in the British Formula 3 Championship . With a second place as the best result, he ended his debut season in eleventh place in the drivers' standings. He was the worst driver on his team that season. He also took part in four DTC races. In 2003 Bremer contested his second season in the British Formula 3 Championship and switched to Carlin Motorsport . While his teammates Alan van der Merwe and Jamie Green were champions and second respectively, Bremer finished the season with two third places as the best results in sixth championship place.
In 2004 Bremer moved to North America for the Atlantic Championship . After five races at Brooks Associates Racing , in which he finished second, he moved to Polestar Racing . For this team he was on the podium four times in seven starts and won one race. At the end of the season Bremer was in fifth place in the drivers' standings. In 2005 Bremer received a champ car cockpit from CTE Racing-HVM . Although he had achieved three top 10 finishes in the first five races and had beaten his teammate Björn Werdenheim on points, the team split from him after the fifth race and replaced him with Alex Sperafico . After a race break, Bremer switched to Dale Coyne Racing , where four other drivers had previously had the second cockpit. Bremer achieved four placements within the top ten and a sixth place was his best result. Here, too, he prevailed internally against his team mate Ricardo Sperafico . Bremer finished twelfth in the championship and was the third-best rookie .
In 2006, Bremer did not find a cockpit in the Champ Car World Series. He eventually took part in eight races of the DTC and started a race in the Atlantic Championship for Polestar Racing. In 2007, Bremer competed in the first six races of the Atlantic Championship for Polestar Racing. In the second half of the season, he completed only one race for Brooks Associates Racing. He was 15th in the drivers' championship. He also took part in a race in the Danish VW Polo Cup. After the end of the season he did not take part in any formula racing.
In 2008 Bremer returned to Europe and took part in several DTC races. He was 27th in the drivers' championship. In 2009 he started in the Danish Peugeot Spider Cup. Bremer won all 14 races and was dominant champion. He also took part in four ADAC GT Masters races and two races in the FIA GT3 European Championship .
In 2010, Bremer moved again to North America, but this time to GT racing. He started four races in the Grand-Am Sports Car Series for Stevenson Motorsports . In 2011, Bremer competed in six races in the Grand-Am Sports Car Series for Stevenson Motorsports. He won the GT class twice. He also took part in two ADAC GT Masters races again that season and took part in three races, two of which he won, in the Danish Legends Cup.
