Rory Loy (born March 19, 1988 in Dumfries ) is a Scottish football player who plays for FC Dumbarton .
Club career
Rory Loy started his career at Kilmarnock FC in 2002 at the age of 14 . The striker played in the club's Youth Academy until 2006 before the Glasgow Rangers signed him for a transfer fee. Only two years after signing the contract in November 2008 Loy made his debut for the Rangers in the league game against Inverness Caledonian Thistle when he came on for Kenny Miller . Until the contract expired in the summer of 2011, Lory was only used in one other league game for the Glasgow team. In the meantime, the young attacker was awarded to the Scottish second division club Dunfermline Athletic , as well as the Rangers ' league rival , FC St. Mirren . In January 2011 Loy moved to England to the third division club Carlisle United there . With this he won the title of the first year of club affiliation League Trophy as the finale of Brentford FC was defeated. Loy played for the club from Cumbria in the north-west of England for two seasons before returning to Scotland. He found a new club with the second division club FC Falkirk . He helped this with 20 goals in the 2013/14 season to participate in the promotion play-offs. Loy was also the top scorer. In the summer of 2015, Loy moved to the Scottish first division club FC Dundee .
National team career
Between 2008 and 2009, Loy played in five international matches for the Scottish U-21s . He was able to score his only goal in the second game after his debut against Northern Ireland , against Azerbaijan .
