Rosemarie Whyte (born September 8, 1986 in Trelawny Parish ) is a Jamaican sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

She attended Holmwood Technical High School and then studied at GC Foster College. She was trained by Maurice Wilson.

At the 2007 NACAC Championships in San Salvador , she won silver with the Jamaican 4 x 400 meter relay and gold over 4 x 100 meters .

In 2008 she became the Jamaican champion in the 400 m run. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , she finished seventh over this distance in an individual race. Together with Shericka Williams , Shereefa Lloyd and Novlene Williams , she won the bronze medal in the Jamaican 4 x 400 meter relay in a time of 3: 20.40 minutes.

At the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin , she won the silver medal with the Jamaican 4 x 400 meter relay in the same line-up as in Beijing the year before.

At the Diamond League meeting in London in 2011, she finished second over 400 meters in a new personal best of 49.84 s. A few weeks later, she retired from the 2011 World Athletics Championships in Daegu in the semi-finals over 400 meters as third place with 50.90 s. With the 4 x 400 meter relay team, she won the silver medal together with Davita Prendergast , Novlene Williams-Mills and Shericka Williams in a time of 3: 18.71 minutes.

At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, she reached the final run over 400 meters and finished eighth there with a time of 50.79 seconds. With the Jamaican 4 x 400 meter relay, she won her second Olympic silver medal.
