Protestant church

The establishment of the village coincides with the settlement of the Transylvanian Saxons . Construction of the church began in 1250 . The village was first mentioned in 1371 under the name Ruffa rip , and in 1427 under the name Roderbach . In 1732 the village fell victim to a devastating fire .

In 2009 only 13 members were registered in the Protestant community (Transylvanian Saxony).

On February 19, 2016, the church tower and part of the Protestant church collapsed.
