Rubén Martín Pulido (born February 2, 1979 in Madrid ) is a Spanish football player .

Player career

The beginnings

Rubén Pulido started his career as a footballer in his hometown in Real Madrid's C team , where he already played in his youth. He then went to the Spanish third division UB Conquense , where he played in the 2000/2001 season. There he became a regular player and after only one year went to the second division relegated FC Getafe . There, too, he was able to assert himself and achieved direct resurgence with the Madrid suburban club.

Professional football

Pulido did not stay in Getafe, but went to the second division Sporting Gijón . With the Asturians he was able to play regularly for the first time in the Segunda División . In the summer of 2003, the defender went to the first division relegated Rayo Vallecano , as he calculated greater chances of the first division with this club. However, the season was catastrophic and ended with relegation to third division for Rayo.

Return to Getafe

In the summer of 2004 Pulido went back to Getafe FC , which had now risen to League 1 for the first time in the club's history. There he only made eight appearances in the first year of the Primera, in the second year it was at least 25 and Pulido was able to score his first two first division goals. His greatest success was reaching the cup final with Getafe FC, which was lost 0: 1 to the favored Sevilla FC .

The last few years

Since he had finally lost his regular place and due to the strong competition Pulido moved in the summer of 2007 to the first division promoted UD Almería . There he was able to fight for a regular place again. A year later he moved to Real Saragossa , which had just been relegated to the Segunda División . After the immediate resurgence, he and his team secured relegation in the 2009/10 season. He then moved to the Greek first division club Asteras Tripolis . After second seasons, he moved to league rivals Aris Thessaloniki .
