Rubensstrasse 1 in Obermenzing

The residential building at Rubensstrasse 1 in the Obermenzing district of the Bavarian capital of Munich was built in 1900. The villa on Rubensstrasse is a protected architectural monument .

The half-timbered villa was built by Georg Doerner for the painter and sculptor Georg Mattes . It served as a home and studio. The two-storey building with a bay window in the style of the Neo-Renaissance has a high studio roof structure with half-timbered decoration. The house was designed as a two-family house with one apartment on each floor.
