Rudi Hoffmann
Rudi Hoffmann (born August 30, 1924 in Höxter ; † July 18, 2008 in Bensheim ) was a German game designer . 1989, his game was Café International the game of the year and for his game Maestro he received in the same year the Golden pawn .
After studying at the Karlsruhe Art Academy , he worked as a book author and ceramist, among other things. After years of work as a commercial artist and illustrator, he began inventing games in 1964. His knowledge from the graphic profession was useful to him. Hoffmann was considered one of the most renowned game designers in Germany.
His son Guido Hoffmann has also been involved in the invention and furnishing of games since 1996 and both worked together on the implementation of Ogallala as a card game and in the game of the towers .

Hoffmann began in 1964 with the invention and construction of board and card games of all kinds. He took on commissioned work and was a co-author of books about games.
