Rudi Schade

Rudi Schade (born February 5, 1914 in Berlin , † July 24, 1981 in West Berlin ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

From 1927 to 1933 Schade attended the “Karl Marx School” in the Neukölln district . As a child he became a member of the “ Kinderfreunde ” in 1924 and from 1928 a member of the Socialist Workers' Youth (SAJ). In 1932 he joined the SPD. After finishing school he did an apprenticeship as a typesetter from 1933 to 1937 and Schade also worked in this profession. In 1944 he became self-employed and ran a stationery shop in Neukölln.

After the Second World War , Schade was active again for the SPD. When he was elected to the House of Representatives in 1958 , he was initially elected to the district assembly of Neukölln, but since Bruno Lösche, as a district councilor, rejected the mandate in the House of Representatives , Schade immediately followed. After the 1963 election he became a district councilor in Neukölln until Walter Günther resigned from his seat in November 1965. Schade moved up again and remained a member of the House of Representatives until 1975.

Among other things, Schade was executive chairman of the Berlin regional association of the German Freethinkers Association .
