Kaiser had based the design on a rainforest in which it constantly trickles from above. After the work of art had been severely damaged several times in the 1990s, the Lichtenberg District Office had the design changed: six wider and lower ceramic columns were fitted with ceramic balls in the upper part. The balls have holes in the middle from which water can be radiated on all sides. In 2012 the work of art was renovated and its green surroundings renewed.
