Rudolf Alexander Reinhold Kleinpaul (born March 9, 1845 in Großgrabe near Kamenz , Oberlausitz ; †  July 18, 1918 in Leipzig ) was a German non-fiction author .

Life

Kleinpaul studied from 1863 to 1867 at the University of Leipzig and then to 1869 in Berlin philosophy , philology , comparative linguistics and science and graduated as Dr. phil. During this time he was already publishing newspaper articles. He went to Paris and in 1871 to Italy , from where he toured Greece , Egypt and Palestine . In 1878 he settled in Gohlis near Leipzig and lived as a freelance writer .

His numerous publications deal with geographical, historical, linguistic, philosophical and religious topics in a light and often ironic tone.
